A reputable full-service accounting firm offering corporate financial and advisory accounting services to its clients across an array of industry sectors is looking for an Audit Supervisor to join their team.

JOB & COMPANY DESCRIPTION

The Audit Supervisor will be responsible for preparing cash flow information, all balance sheet and income statement reconciliations as well as maintaining the fixed asset register and performing stock counts. The Audit Supervisor will be responsible for the full statutory audits on small, medium and large sized firms in the private and public sector as well as drafting reports to management on internal control deficiencies, other audit findings and advising management on the systems and process requiring improvement.  The successful candidate will also be responsible for calculating of taxes payable by individuals, companies and trusts.

EDUCATION

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

• BCom Honors in Accounting
• SAICA articles completed

JOB EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

• At least 1 year post article experience in a similar role
• Experience in a small to medium audit firm is preferred
• Working knowledge of Caseware and Sars E-filing
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Willing to work overtime when necessary and required
• Ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships
• Knowledge and experience of public sector audits (GRAP, MFMA, PFMA)
• Ability to cope under pressure and achieve deadlines
