A reputable full-service accounting firm offering corporate financial and advisory accounting services to its clients across an array of industry sectors is looking for an Audit Manager to join their team.

JOB & COMPANY DESCRIPTION

The Audit Manager will be responsible for overseeing audit planning, field work and audit reporting. The Audit Manager will be responsible for preparing reports, communicating findings and conducting full audit file reviews. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing audit work papers prepared by the audit staff as well as monitoring, maintaining and developing of quality control policies and procedures. The Audit Manager will be responsible for managing and motivating staff and completing engagements within budgets and deadlines.

EDUCATION

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

• CA(SA) or
• BCom Honors in Accounting with completed SAICA articles

JOB EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

• At least 1 year post article experience in a similar role
• Working knowledge of Caseware and Sars E-filing
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Willing to work overtime when necessary and required
• Ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships
• Excellent leadership and people management skills
• Capable of presenting results to senior management
• Strong project management skills
• Knowledge and experience of public sector audits (GRAP, MFMA, PFMA)
• Ability to cope under pressure and achieve deadlines
• Accounting function capability such as compilation of IFRS and IFRS for SMEs compliant financial statements, adjusting journals, fixed asset register etc.
