Au Pair

SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:

Our client is an established and fast-growing business offering 25 years’ experience in the chemical industry.  Indicative of their commitment to their personnel they have a vacancy for a suitably qualified AU PAIR based in Mossel Bay. 

The Au Pair will be employed by the company to work for the CFO’s family with soon to be expected twins and 3 elder children ranging between the ages 4 to 7. The contract will be for a one-year fixed term contract starting April 2021.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Looking after the newborn twins sometimes during the night especially in the first 2 to 5 months.
• Take the children to school in the morning, prepare lunchboxes and attend to the children’s needs as required.
• Driving and picking up the kids from school and other activities.
• Cooking easy recipes.
• Keeping the children''s rooms tidy and clean.
• Ironing the children''s clothes and do their laundry.
• Assisting children with their homework.
• Putting the kids to sleep when required.
• Helping kids with personal hygiene.
• Limited shopping when required.
• Help the children get dressed and ready for the day.
• Manage domestic worker to ensure tasks are completed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Early Childcare qualification
• Certificate in first aid, CPR, and fire safety
• Baby Gym (will be beneficial)

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS

• Driver license and reliable car
• Have 5-year experience looking after new born babies
• Capable to manage a family home of five children
• Non-Smoker
• Excellent health
• Professional and well presented
• Having good judgment skills
• Clear criminal record

The candidate must be strong in taking the initiative to ensure the family’s burden is lessened by their presence.
It can be expected of the Au Pair to work 60 hours a week.
