SUMMARY:
Admitted Attorney – Cape Town
Well established construction company is looking for a LLB Admitted Attorney. Generalist in nature with a focus on contractual, labour and commercial law preferably out of the construction industry.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:
Experience required

Litigation / court processes
Legal recoveries, including exposure to liquidation processes and Business Rescue
Labour: contracts / CCMA / Disciplinaries
Basic knowledge of Contract law – interpretation / drafting / vetting.
Advantageous – knowledge of the built environment and the following standard

Building contracts:
a)           JBCC 6.2
b)           GCC (2015)
c)            NEC3 / NEC4 suite of agreements

Providing general legal support to the different divisions of the company: Finance & Management Support / Management Programme / FCA’s / Professional Services.
Vetting and compliance: All legal documentation drafted on behalf of third-party funders.
Assist in monitoring legal risk & compliance
Assist with debt collection on behalf of Tusk: Drafting of LOD / AOD and monitoring repayments.
Drafting of meeting minutes and submitting of reports to Legal Manager as required.
Attending to inhouse HR administrative matters.
CCMA: Attendance of hearings / Hearing preparation & trial bundles
Drafting offers of employment & employment contracts
