Asst Cattle Manager, Eastern Cape, Rneg + Benefits + Company Housing

• Dipl In Animal Production
• Agri Management Qualification Would Be Advantage
• Min 5 Years Experience Working With Large Beef Cattle Herd
• Able To Perform All Related Animal Husbandry Practices
• Exp In Grassland Management
• Initiative, flexible, good communication skills, trustworthy, proficient in Microsoft,
• Valid driver`s license compulsory,
• Technical knowledge of the environment, marketing and sales
• Team Work, knowledge of fencing and pastures
• Planning and organisational skills.
• Organize work to maximise efficiency and productivity
• Train and motivate herdsman to implement the various work systems (Nutrition, herd health and cattle management)
• Monitor both the work and work systems to ensure direct results are attained
• Budgeting and maintaining accurate financial records
• Marketing of stock and organising cattle to be marketed
• Keeping of necessary administrative records pertaining to a large cattle enterprise
• Ensuring compliance with government regulations and health and safety standards
• Keeping up to date knowledge of pests and diseases
• Organising maintenance/repair of property (fences/handling facilities/equipment)
