SUMMARY:
The purpose of this job is to manage one or more specific projects of the company and take responsibility for the planning, tracking and relevant communication of the project from before initiation to successful conclusion within the agreed management framework of the Business Team.

It will be expected to continually evaluate impediments to productivity of the project team or activities surrounding it and to facilitate communication to improve or eliminate it where possible.
The job may require line management responsibilities.
The job will require taking responsibility and to ensure that day to day tasks and outputs as well as adhoc initiatives are actioned and/or adhered to

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Key Duties and Responsibilities (include but is not limited to):
- Provide optimal staff capacity with correct skills.
- Contain and improve cost effectiveness of functions provided
- Implementation of agreed initiatives to improve operational efficiency and customer experience
- Monitor and manage external perception of the project team
- Identifying and reporting impediments and manage improvement
- Ensure training and development of staff
- Contribute to the various cross functional forums to help improve efficiencies in other areas
- Ensuring that all correspondence is professional and in line with standards and protocols of the organisation
- Is source of knowledge and specialist know how to project team members when it comes to the delivery methodology
- Ensures that processes required to deliver the outputs of the relevant speciality are developed, implemented and adhered to
- Help manage and determine the budget of the business area
- Interact with executive management in other business areas to ensure clear communication, expectation management and delivery to other business functions and areas
- Assist with the development of junior and middle management
- Help formulate strategy of business area

Additional Skills:
- Ability to use the full Microsoft Office suite (outlook, xls, word, PowerPoint, vision) and Adobe
- Quality driven
- Ability to pay attention to detail as accuracy is important
- Ability to work effectively with others and contribute to team task accomplishment
- Can operate very effectively under pressure

- Ability to make decisions, analytical mind and excellent problem-solving techniques

Qualifications:
- Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential)
- Relevant ICT related degree or diploma
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience at project team leader level
- Accomplished experience with various systems delivery methodologies such as waterfall, agile, scrum etc
- In-depth of Business and Operational Insurance Industry administrative processes
- Relevant ICT experience to manage field of speciality
- Experience interacting directly with external parties and internal stakeholders
- Project Management experience
- Analysis of business processes
