CORE PURPOSE OF JOB

To teach TVET and contribute to faculty research and administration as required.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Facilitate the learning processes in the faculty
• Conduct, publish and promote research
• Participate in academic engagement
• Participate in faculty administration

CORE COMPETENCIES

• Facilitation of TVET learning
• Facilitation of teaching students the didactics of TVET subjects
• A sound knowledge of assessment strategies  in TVET
• Ability to adapt TVET teaching to suit the diversity  of students and promote inclusivity
• Ability to develop teaching materials in TVET
• Sound technological expertise, including a sound knowledge of integrating and facilitating teaching and learning in technology enabled environment platforms

• Conducting scholarly work with an increasing focus on Africanization and decolonization in TVET

REQUIREMENTS

• BEd Honours 

• An MEd will be an added advantage.
• Experience in teaching TVET subjects
• A sound disciplinary and content knowledge of TVET
• Experience in teaching TVET at university level will be an added advantage
• Sound technological expertise with proficiency in online teaching and learning
• Experience with Moodle, or similar learning management system, will be an advantage
