Associate Lecturer/ Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer (Mechanical Engineering)

CORE COMPETENCIES

• Teaching/lecturing experience at the higher education level.
• Facilitate effective teaching and learning in the field of Mechanical Engineering with in-depth knowledge in the theory and application of Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering Design and simulation.
• Assume responsibility for development of course materials, lectures, tutorials and assessment of modules
• Administrative duties relating to teaching, learning and research.
• Ability to communicate effectively in a multicultural environment.
• Contribution to or the potential to contribute to the creation of knowledge by virtue of published research and of successfully supervising master’s and doctoral candidates
• Engage and network with the Mechanical Engineering industry in terms of teaching and research.

REQUIREMENTS

For Associate Lecturer

• Successful candidate must hold a first degree in Mechanical Engineering, have at least a MEng (Mechanical Engineering)
• At least a candidate for professional registration: ECSA
• Proven record of excellence in teaching in above mentioned fields.
• At least 1-year relevant and/or related experience

For Lecturer

• Successful candidate must hold a first degree in Mechanical Engineering, have at least a MEng (Mechanical Engineering)
• Professional registration: ECSA
• Proven record of excellence in teaching in above mentioned fields
• At least 2 years relevant and/or related work experience

For Senior Lecturer

• Successful candidate must hold a first degree in Mechanical Engineering, have at least a MEng (Mechanical Engineering) and be registered for a PhD in Mechanical Engineering
• Professional registration: ECSA
• Proven record of excellence in teaching in above mentioned fields.
• At least 5 years relevant and/or related work experience
