POSITION INFO:

Job Position: Associate Financial Planner

Ref: 3717

Location: Port Elizabeth
Salary: R16 000 per month CTC commensurate with experience and qualification + commission

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning
• CFP accreditation highly advantageous
• Minimum of 3 years in the financial services industry
• Proficient in MS Office, Advanced Excel skills (i.e VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables etc)
• An understanding of financial markets and how it affects clients
• Good communication skills and a professional disposition
• Strong work ethics and integrity

Key Performance Areas:

• Research, preparation and presentation of planning documents
• Servicing of existing clients, including reviews of their portfolios
• Portfolio reviews:

-      Research of financial product portfolios and investment performance of all clients and prepare review reports

-      Provide ongoing financial planning advice

-      Conduct risk research and obtain information and values required to compile comprehensive proposals and recommendations for clients

-      Attend to and resolve clients concerns, queries and complaints regarding their product portfolio

-      Implement instructions from clients in respect of switches, repurchases, maturities, surrenders etc

-      Assist clients in obtaining tax certificates etc

-      Assist clients with the preparation and signing of Wills and execution of estates, in association with the Executor

-      Liaise with clients and service providers to confirm implementation of instructions

-      Finalize new business instructions for long term insurance

-      Recording of client interaction and updating of client records upon completion of interaction

-      Maintain client record and database including static data

-      Ensure compliance with FICA and FAIS legislation

-      Compile presentations for all client engagements

-      Ensure all business registers are kept up to date and current

-      Proactively identify new business opportunities and market the range of services and products offered

-      Conduct presentations and provide advice to clients / prospective clients for the conclusion and implementation of new business when required
