SUMMARY:
Position available for an Assistant to the Winemaker at an established concern in the Stellenbosch region.

POSITION INFO:

Collaborate with the sales team (Local & International):-

Receive sample requests for new business, new vintage approval on current business, 3^rd party sample/style approval and analysis approval.
Preparation of samples/mock-ups for above approvals, tasting and wine shows

Collaborate directly with clients (Local and International)
Sets up wine specifications based on approved samples and data capturing on SAGE system
Presents wine tasting for 3^rd party clients and international wine clients
Receive and enters samples for tenders
Assist with niche projects (premium blends, oak projects, no-sulphur projects etc.)
Organises internal comparative tastings and production tastings

Requirements:

Diploma / Degree in Viticulture and Oenology

At least 3 years’ relevant experience in a similar position

Driver’s license and own reliable transport

Excellent computer proficiency

Fully bilingual (Afrikaans and English)
