Assistant Storeman - Durban

SUMMARY:
Our client in the security technology industry has an EE opportunity available for an Assistant Storeman in the Durban area.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

• Matric Certificate
• One to three years stores or warehouse experience in the security industry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be computer literate
• Good mathematical/Accounting skills
• Syspro knowledge will be an advantage
• Reliable transport to travel to and from work will be an advantage
• Driver license an advantage

Duties:

• Responsible for receiving, storing, assembling, packing and unpacking of goods as well as dispatching goods from the store
• Organizing the warehouse in a way that existing inventory is easily & safely accessible and clearly identifiable
• Sorts, mark and places materials or items on racks or shelves according to predetermined product code sequence
• Assemble or disassemble stock items as may be required by customers or for stock holding from time to time
• Ensure the accuracy of picked goods by verifying and signing the delivery notes as well as related documents
• Responsible for inspecting, checking and recording quantities of all stock received against the transfer sheet to ensure that every stock item transferred is present and report any discrepancies identified
• Responsible for scheduling deliveries, ensuring that the product is suitably packaged and that the driver meets delivery time constraints
