SUMMARY:
We are looking for a dynamic, target driven high-performing Assistant Sales Manager to help our client meet their customer demands and revenue growth targets by keeping our company competitive and innovative. NOT NEGOTIABLE: a minimum of 5 years in IT distribution sales. Must have experience in managing sales teams in a similar environment.
This individual will be responsible for maximizing our sales teams’ potential, crafting sales plans, and justifying those plans to Senior Management.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum requirements:
  • Matric/Grade 12 (Certificate required).
  • Proven sales track record not negotiable with a minimum of 5 years in IT distribution sales.
  • A proven closer, able to gather commitment every step of the sales process
  • Experience in managing. sales teams in a similar environment.
  • Computer Literate – MS Office (with Advanced Excel skills)
  • Presentation and training skills required.
  • Dynamic and target driven individual.
  • Knowledge of MS Dynamics AX will be an advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a business. Environment.
  • Customer relationship skills.
  • Able to understand business requirements and to derive equitable solutions.
  • Ability to make decisions and execute under pressure.
  • Be able to work independently & within a team.
  • Effective time-management skills.
Duties and Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
  • Set sales goals, compare performance to goals, and adjust goals as needed.
  • Assess current team processes and procedures, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement them.
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasts.
  • Coach, mentor, and provide feedback to team members.
  • Foster a competitive yet collaborative team environment.
  • Assess individual performance through observation and measurement, and suggest corrective actions as needed.
  • Employee will perform additional duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor.
  • Employee may from time to time be required to perform duties outside the ambit of the position.
