SUMMARY:
Assistant Quality Control Manager required.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Manage and coordinate the Quality Control Department according to Safety regulations and the company's Food Safety System.

Key responsibilities:

Manage the QC department, including laboratory and staff
Maintain quality/food safety system as per FSSC standards
Implement and update product specifications
Ensure products conform to quality standards
Conform to customer specifications/standards
Meet required legal standards
Facilitate training for team members
Assist with NPD and implementation of projects
Implementation of change control projects
Ensure a clear route of communication/reporting up, down and sideways
Establish a HACCP plan
Internal Auditing
Responsible for 3rd party food safety audits
Incoming inspection on supplier materials – conformance to agreed specifications

Requirements:

Qualification: Food Science / Food Science National Diploma / Food Technology / Quality Management
Knowledge of quality management standards
Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
