POSITION INFO:
My client in the fruit farming Sector is looking for an experienced Assistant Production Manager to optimize the efficient and effective management of the strawberry growing operations, be responsible for collating of all production data, manage highly technical production systems which includes Netafim irrigation system, identify opportunities to introduce technology in the production process, design and implement technology driven procedures in the production process, managing production activities including planting, irrigation, fertigation, pollination, Pest control, harvesting and pruning, the effective management of the human resources component, all related administrative functions which include budgeting and management reports, procurement procedures and cost management and system management (BRC, OHS, SIZA, Global Gap)
Minimum qualification requirements and skills:
- Diploma/Degree in Agriculture or relevant qualification
- Minimum 2 years’ production management experience within soft fruit industry i.e., Berries
- Must have strong communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of Global Gap
- Production management experience is essential
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skill
