SUMMARY:
Our client within the FMCG sector is currently recruiting for an Assistant Plant Engineer in the Pretoria Area. The successful candidate is required to have 2 years’ experience within a supervisory role within the FMCG environment.
 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum Requirements:
  • Electro-Mechanical Trade Test.
  • Experience in reading and modifying electrical control schematics.
  • Experience with PLC programming and automation.
  • Knowledge of safe working procedures in an FMCG facility.
 
Main responsibilities:
  • Maintain and improve Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE).
  • OEE Analytics, breakdown analysis and prevention.
  • Maintain and improve Preventative Maintenance (PM) Program.
  • Manage and control Workorder Systems.
  • Manage contractors.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement within department.
  • Cost-effective management of storeroom stock levels.
  • Project management.
  • Ensure compliance of Food Safety; Safety; and Quality standards.
  • Maintain and improve maintenance processes and controls.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain equipment; electrical and control logic E.g.: PLC, HMI Programming.
  • Ensure good interdepartmental communication and cohesion.
  • Provide technical support in developing and improving processes.
  • Control and precise management of the maintenance budget.
  • Efficient management of direct reports in line with company culture and values.
  • Knowledge of safe working procedures in an FMCG facility.
 
Additional Information
Working Hours: Monday – Friday: 07:30 – 16:00
Overtime of weekends and public holidays will be required when assistance is required.
Exposure to high temperatures, and dust environment.
