SUMMARY:
Our client within the FMCG sector is currently recruiting for an Assistant Plant Engineer in the Pretoria Area. The successful candidate is required to have 2 years’ experience within a supervisory role within the FMCG environment.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum Requirements:

Electro-Mechanical Trade Test.
Experience in reading and modifying electrical control schematics.
Experience with PLC programming and automation.
Knowledge of safe working procedures in an FMCG facility.

Main responsibilities:

Maintain and improve Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE).
OEE Analytics, breakdown analysis and prevention.
Maintain and improve Preventative Maintenance (PM) Program.
Manage and control Workorder Systems.
Manage contractors.
Drive Continuous Improvement within department.
Cost-effective management of storeroom stock levels.
Project management.
Ensure compliance of Food Safety; Safety; and Quality standards.
Maintain and improve maintenance processes and controls.
Troubleshoot and maintain equipment; electrical and control logic E.g.: PLC, HMI Programming.
Ensure good interdepartmental communication and cohesion.
Provide technical support in developing and improving processes.
Control and precise management of the maintenance budget.
Efficient management of direct reports in line with company culture and values.
Knowledge of safe working procedures in an FMCG facility.

Additional Information
Working Hours: Monday – Friday: 07:30 – 16:00
Overtime of weekends and public holidays will be required when assistance is required.
Exposure to high temperatures, and dust environment.
