SUMMARY:
An urgent position has come available at one of our clients within the oil and gas industry for an Assistant Personnel Logistics Coordinator. This position is a 12month renewable contract on a developmental role in Mozambique, Temane.

POSITION INFO:

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The successful candidate will be trained in all aspects relating to the movement of personnel and light vehicle transportation for a land drilling operation. The candidate will assist in coordination of all day to day land and air personnel movements within the field, in relation to arrivals / departures, transportation and aviation activities for all onshore field locations, including administration of Journey Management Plans [JMP] assuring that all Well Delivery activities in Mozambique are conducted safely and responsibly and in accordance with he Client SHE Excellence approach, industry good practice, and the law. The purpose of this role is to Safely Deliver Quality wells and to personally contribute to Mozambique skills transfer.

 

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-5 years personnel logistics experience preferably within an oil and gas related industry
  • Land Drilling operations experience is highly desirable
  • 2-5 years’ experience in working with logistics I.T. computer systems
  • High School English language and Literacy qualification to A/B grade or equivalent

 

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Has the ability to handle multiple tasks and set priorities
  • Can work under pressure and adaptable in fast changing environments
  • Can remain positive, and cheerful during adversity
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English proficiently
  • Must be computer literate with a minimum 5 years’ experience using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Portuguese language is essential

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Assistant Personnel Logistics Coordinator, under the guidance of the Personnel Logistics Lead shall receive training to be able to carry out the following roles and responsibilities in an effective and professional manner. The following responsibilities may change depending on the aptitude and ability of the individual after relevant training has been delivered.
  • Drive Client Life Saving Rules & SHE Performance within the Temane 3 Supply Base
  • Create safe working conditions by implementation and compliance with Client Life Saving Rules & SHE Management plan
  • Carry out daily progress and task allocation meetings with ILS provider and Contractor
  • Prepares, manages and distributes personnel flight plans, Project Lookaheads, passenger lists including updates of same
  • Communicates room allocation upon personnel arrival at the Supply Base
  • Liaises with the aviation company for flight status tracking and provides timely updates to Company and Contractor personnel
  • Develop and implement project specific aviation and personnel movement plans, procedures and documents
  • Ensures safe, efficient and regulatory compliant practices are undertaken
  • Agrees and continually monitors the ILS maintenance & inspection program with ILS Workshop Manager and Journey
  • Management Coordinator to ensure the timely and regular maintenance and serviceability of all “personnel vehicles”. Records shall be periodically inspected to ensure conformity with the agreed program
  • Provide general supervision and direction to ILS in carrying out their activities effectively and efficiently to support the client operating plans
  • Assist SHE department with the revision of EVAC procedures in line with emergency flight availability
  • Under the direction of the SHE Department, participate in emergency drills and be prepared to respond in emergency situations
