POSITION INFO:

Assistant Operation Manager

A leading Cape Town  based scaffolding solutions company -  tailored to diverse projects, spanning commercial and residential installations, is looking for an Assistant Operations Manager. The company provides comprehensive services, including expert scaffolding hire and seamless installation. This position requires an individual with experience within the scaffolding industry to play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations and maintaining the  high standards of service delivery. The ideal candidate will be a great communicator who is highly organized and has the ability to work under pressure.

Key Responsibilities/Duties: 

• Assist the Operations Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations of the scaffolding hiring and installation department. 

• Fulfill the Operations Manager’s  role when he is away on site with clients. 

• Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure availability of scaffolding equipment for the install-only side of the business.

• Prepare quotes for clients using a bespoke scaffolding design software.

• Organise work schedules for drivers and installation teams.

Experience:

• Strong understanding of scaffolding equipment, installation techniques, and safety protocols preferred. (At the very minimum understand the scaffolding industry)

• At least a basic understanding of the construction industry, drawing and terminology.

• Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the construction industry. 

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years working experience within the scaffolding industry

• Very proficient in Excel and MS Office suite

• Strategic thinker and problem solver, with the ability to work under pressure

• High attention to detail 

• Strong communication skills, especially on WhatsApp

• A team player with the ability to give clear instructions.

• Matric level of education

 
This is an office based job, working hours 8-5 with no overtime or weekend work necessary.

Immediate start

Salary: R18-22K/month (dependant on experience) + company phone + in-house medical scheme
