Assistant Nursing Manager

SUMMARY:

A retirement village situated in Bryanston is looking for a mature Assistant Nursing Manager, assist in the day to day running of their establishment and ensuring quality nursing care. The Village comprises of 21 rooms, and a 24 hour care division. This position can be full day or half day Monday - Friday

POSITION INFO:
The duties of the post include but are not limited to the following

• Assign decision making, authority, tasks and responsibility to appropriate persons in order to maximize organisation and employee effectiveness.
• Develop a talented nursing workforce.
• Facilitate a culture that is supportive of talent management and the initiation of required implementations to hone nursing talent
• Monitor staff attendance and/or absenteeism and ensure action is taken accordingly
• Ensure service delivery to all residents and patients
• Maintain and improve nursing standards in the unit

• Retired ICU experienced Registered Nurse
• Computer Literate
• Must have experience in working with elderly people and know the day to day running of a retirement village.
• Staff management
• Geriatric experience
