Assistant Metrologist: Fixed Term

SUMMARY:

They are seeking to appoint an Assistant Metrologist on a Fixed Term contract.

POSITION INFO:

The Key responsibilities of the Assistant Metrologist include:

• To successfully perform all functional aspects of the Mass Metrology department
• Adhere to SHEQ standards and practices i.e. monthly inspections, reporting of incidents and near misses
• Adhere to the Quality System i.e. ISO 17025.
  Adhere to Mass Metrology practices and procedures
• Perform and evaluate measurements on identified mass pieces with participants in Interlaboratory Comparisons (NLC) scheme.
• Co-ordinate and perform calibration and checks for different levels of weights and balances

 

Essential Requirements:

• Mass Metrology Certificate
• A qualification as a Verification Officer
• Computer Literacy: JDE, MS office, Mass Metrology software.
• Working characteristics: Accurate & Timely, calm under pressure, attention to detail, organised.

This role will suit a metrologist experienced in the field of Mass Metrology who is organised, accurate and able to work under pressure when required, maintaining the excellent standards of the department.
