Our client in the energy and petro-chemical environment, based in MOZAMBIQUE invites eligible candidates to apply for the role of an Assistant Material Coordinator for a 12 month renewable contract on a developmental role.

 

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Under the guidance and leadership of the Material Management Lead, the Assistant Material Coordinator shall be trained in all Materials and inventory control in relation to the Supply Base material and equipment handling functions, including receipt, verification, storage, and despatch of cargo and equipment together with maintaining accurate inventory movement records and

reporting, assuring that all Well Delivery activities in Mozambique are conducted safely and responsibly and in accordance with the Client’s SHE Excellence Approach, industry good practice, and the law. The purpose of this is to Safely Deliver Quality wells and to personally contribute to Mozambique skills transfer.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-5 years logistics and materials management experience within an Oil and Gas environment, preferably drilling operations
  • 2-5 years’ experience, knowledge and understanding of materials control processes and procedures including inventory control, warehouse, yard operations and accurate record keeping.
  • Shall be familiar with oilfield materials and equipment.
  • 2-5 years’ experience in working with logistics I.T. computer systems.
  • High School English language and Literacy qualification to A/B grade or equivalent

 

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Has the ability to handle multiple tasks and set priorities.
  • Can work under pressure and adaptable in fast changing environments.
  • Can remain positive, and cheerful during adversity.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English proficiently.
  • Must be computer literate with a minimum 5 years’ experience using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Portuguese language is essential.
