Our client in the building/retail industry seeks to employ an Assistant Manager to be based at their store in Grahamstown / Makhanda.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties:

Monitor perpetual stock take process.
Stock rotated throughout the store.
Ensure stock moves quickly from Receiving.
Products merchandised using sound merchandising principles.
Arrange and monitor housekeeping that ensures the store and products are always clean, neat and tidy.
Create excitement with eye-catching displays, especially at promotion time.
Ensure that point of sale signage effectively used in the store.
Ensure that all products are price marked according to the store pricing template – correct GP’s.
Shelf edge labels up to date showing the same price as that scanning at the till.
Description on the Shelf Edge Label reflects the item on the shelf.
Regular orders placed on suppliers using stock order cycle.

Requirements:

Matric
Relevant qualification advantageous
Minimum 3-4 years' experience in a similar role
Contactable references
Clear criminal record
Retail hours
