JOB DESCRIPTION:

Purpose: Supervise and coordinate maintenance and repair activities of equipment.

Minimum Qualifications: Grade 12 & N5 Certificate.
Certificate: Diesel Mechanic OR Earthmoving Mechanic.

Minimum Experience: Mining equipment or mining industry: Operational 5-7 years; Supervisory 2-3 years.

Roles and Responsibilities include inter alia:
Maintenance and Repair Supervising

Schedule and organize workload of maintenance and repairs.
Provide technical or professional advice, support, and consultation.
Quality Assurance: Maintain housekeeping of equipment and work area.
Accurate bill of materials, parts and costs.
Maintaining control of engineering process.
Customer relations: Solving customer queries, maintaining/enhancing customer relations & updating/maintaining customer database.
People management: Manage team performance, recruit and select employees, develop and train employees and manage IR.
Administration: Process job requests and quotations accurately in accordance with company policy.
Coordinate and monitor labor in line with quotations and submit reports to management and costing clerks for accurate capturing.
