SUMMARY:
The Assistant Maître D’Hotel supervises all dining service team members in order to provide excellent service to guests.
POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities:
- Controls all restaurant service stations, ensures they are clean and that the mise en place is correct before and after every service.
- Controls the daily work of dining service crew in the assigned restaurant.
- Handles and resolves guest complaints regarding dining quality and service.
- Supports the Maître D’Hotel in cost control responsibilities through close monitoring of the inventory.
- Assists the Maître D’Hotel, ensuring compliance with quality and sanitation standards and procedures in all restaurants, crew mess rooms and room service.
Requirements: - A diploma or degree from an internationally certified hotel school.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a ‘Butler’ in an internationally recognised 5 star hotel is essential.
- Food Safety/HACCP certificated.
- Ship experience advantageous.
- Possess a valid passport.
- Fluent in English.
- Proficiency in computers and basic Windows programs is a must.
