Assistant Lodge Manager (JB2515)
Hoedspruit, Limpopo
R10 000.00 – R12 000.00 CTC per month (live in position, includes housing, meals while on duty – work schedule 21 days on 7 days off)
Duration: Permanent

Overview
We are a Safari Lodge situated in the Guernsey Private Nature Reserve – 40km south of the town of Hoedspruit, we are looking for an experienced hands on Assistant Lodge Manager to join our team, you will be the Lodge Manager’s right hand in ensuring all operations of the Lodge runs smoothly, we are looking for someone who has a passion for the industry and enjoys working with people

Minimum Requirements:
3 – 5 years hospitality management experience
FGASA Registered guide
PDP license is essential
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to foster teamwork
A commitment to internal and external customer satisfaction
The ability to work in a team environment
Understanding of cross-department dependencies & ability to work productively with all areas of the business
Ability to work under pressure and juggle multiple tasks
Problem solving and decision-making capacities
Ability to delegate and attention to detail very important
Outstanding organisational and interpersonal skills
High standards of customer service
Flexible and thrives on change
Reliable and responsible
A sense of humour and a smile

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Assistant Lodge Manager is responsible for assisting the Lodge Manager in managing the lodge, which meets the requirements of the Lodge owners and other regulatory authorities within South Africa
As well as being responsible for the performance of Lodge staff
General management of the running of the Lodge
Conducting game walks and safaris
Hosting and guest liaison
General maintenance and housekeeping management
As well as selling of all optional activities, curios and bar sales and stock taking and the effective use of the Point of sale system
