Assistant Financial Manager: International Air, Sea & Land Freight Forwarding company

This role is for the Head office in Sandton

Sal circa 500k negotiable according to experience

Essential requirements:

Min Bcom (Accounts or Finance) or CIMA

Min 3 years’ experience as an Assistant Financial Manager within the logistics/freight forwarding company OR manufacturing industryÂ

Duties include:

• Assisting the Senior Financial Manager with budgets for each business stream
• Assisting with the review and analyses budget on monthly basis. (Actual vs budget)
• Assist with daily cash flow preparation, ,
• Maintenance and Management of the HR functions
• Review Invoicing before submission to the client
• Tracking financial data,
• Supervise the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
• Assisting external auditors to ensure financial monitoring is up-to-date
• Assisting with the submission of tax and other statutory reports on a monthly and annual basis
• Maintenance of the fixed asset register
• Review Intercompany Balances and ensure reconciliations are maintained
• Posting and review of month end journals
• Assist with the preparation of monthly management committee meetings

About the ROLE

The position will require excellent technical accounting and communication skills. The position will report directly to the Senior Financial Manager and play a role in further growth activities in the business
