Assistant Financial Manager

SUMMARY:
A growing, entrepreneurial energy group is looking for a bright and teachable Group Accountant to support the financial function across multiple business units – the ideal role for someone fresh out of articles who wants to grow in a commercially run environment.

POSITION INFO:

This Assistant Financial Manager role will see you working closely with the Financial Manager and other key stakeholders, gaining exposure to both strategic and operational aspects of the business. It’s the perfect opportunity for someone who is hands-on, meticulous, and eager to grow within a high-performance finance team.

Other Duties Include:

• Assisting with monthly management reporting and financial packs
• Preparing budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
• Overseeing GL accuracy, reconciliations, and journals
• Supporting audits and ensuring compliance with IFRS and internal controls
• Business partnering with operational teams for financial input and reporting

• Qualified CA(SA)

• 1 to 2 years’ experience in a commercial finance or accounting role
• Strong analytical and Excel skills
• Exposure to manufacturing, mining, or industrial sectors is advantageous
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across departments
