Assistant Financial Controller

SUMMARY:
Receive the opportunity to become an Assistant Financial Controller for an ever growing, locally founded company. As an Assistant Financial Controller, you will generate and review routine financial reports, assist in analyzing and approving fund requests received from various teams and train and supervise finance staff in their assigned job responsibilities

POSITION INFO:

Receive the opportunity to become an Assistant Financial Controller for an ever growing, locally founded company.

As an Assistant Financial Controller, you willgenerate and review routine financial reports, assist in analysing and approving fund requests received from various teams and train and supervise finance staff in their assigned job responsibilities.

Please note this is a 6 month contract  

Duties:

• Preparing and consolidating financial statements.
• Monthly reporting
• Assisting with technical queries
• Establishing and maintaining internal controls.
• Managing all aspects of the general ledger.
• Providing monthly, quarterly, and year-end analyses.
• Coordinating or assisting with the budget process.

Qualifications

• B. Com
• Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles

Experience:

•  2 – 3 years’ post article experience
• CaseWare experience beneficial
• Having a strong technical background will be advantageous
