Assistant Factory Manager - Fertilizer / Agric Industry

SUMMARY:
A well-known and established Agricultural Company requires the above to assist the Factory Manager, managing and overseeing all Production and Engineering functions on their plants.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

• Previous experience having assisted a Factory Manager in a Factory or Plant environment is preferred.
• Tertiary qualification or related diploma is preferred but not essential.
• Previous experience having worked within the Chemical Manufacturing and Engineering Industry or related environments is essential.
• Must have good Management and interpersonal skills, must be hands on with the ability to work independently.  
• Previous experience in taking responsibility for repairing and installing Dosing Pumps and related Engineering equipment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Manage and oversee all production Staff within the Factory.
• Prepare action plans, assign tasks, monitor production process, perform quality checks and ensure deadlines are met.
• Oversee the operation, maintenance, and servicing of Machinery, evaluating new and existing equipment and maintain company Policies and Procedures.
• Provide Staff training, resolve conflict, handle performance management to ensure safety at all times.
• Present reports and feedback to Management on Production and establish priorities in order to meet set goals in a timeous manner.
• Manage all incoming and outgoing stock, keeping stock records of both raw materials and final product, ensuring safe handling and storage.
• Oversee Mixer Decanting Plants, RO Systems, Compressors, Mixers, Filling, reverse Osmosis systems, Bead Mills and various other equipment.
• Oversee all the PPE / Health and Safety within the Plant.
