POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:
Lexis Convey, WinLaw, SearhWorks experience

• Assist in preparing transfer documentation for residential and commercial property transactions (e.g., Deed of Sale, Power of Attorney, Transfer Duty Receipts).
• Open new transfer files and ensure FICA compliance for all parties involved.
• Capture and manage transfer matters on conveyancing software such as GhostConvey or Lexis Convey.
• Liaise with clients, estate agents, and attorneys to obtain required information and documents.
• Request and follow up on rates clearance certificates from municipal authorities.
• Apply for transfer duty receipts via SARS eFiling and ensure payments are made timeously.
• Arrange for signature of documents by purchasers and sellers, either in-person or via courier.
• Coordinate with banks and bond attorneys regarding guarantees, bond cancellations, and bond registration progress.
• Monitor and update clients on the progress of the transfer process.
• Prepare documents for lodgment at the Deeds Office and assist in tracking their progress (Prep, Lodgement, Registration, Delivery stages).
• Request final accounts from municipalities post-registration for refund or adjustment purposes.
• Draft pro forma and final accounts and assist with billing and reconciliation.
• Maintain meticulous file records (physical and electronic) for compliance and auditing purposes.
