POSITION INFO:

Assistant Chief Steward | Doha - Qatar | 5-Star Hotel Group

We are looking for an experienced ASSISTANT CHIEF STEWARD to join the team of a well-known, 5-star Hotel Group, located in Doha, Qatar.

Responsibilities of Assistant Chief Steward:

• carrying out storeroom and kitchen inspections to make sure that they are clean and in good order.
• keep an inventory of the food supplies and ensures that at any given time there are enough supplies to facilitate smooth running of the services.
• supervise all incoming orders and ensures that all purchases which are needed are delivered in the quantities that are required.
• approve all bills and invoices that need payment.
• coordinate all the work of kitchen and storeroom staff that are not responsible for the cooking of food.
• ensure that there is no wastage and theft of foodstuffs as well as the hotel supplies
• discuss with the manager, catering, or the executive chef, when dealing with matters concerning banquet arrangements food service, extra employees and the equipment needed.

Experience, skills and qualifications needed:

• Hospitality qualification
• At least 5 years of working experience from 5-star hotel OR fine dining establishments
• At least 2 years in supervisory level
• At least 1 year as Assistant Chief Steward
• Fluent English
• Excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure

Start: ASAP, subject to visa

Salary package:

• Basic QAT 7000 – 8000, depending on experience and skills
• Accommodation will be provided
• Transport from and to work will be provided
• Meals on duty
• Annual paid leave
• Return flights home on completion of every contract
• Visa and flight to Qatar
• Medical insurance
