Assistant (CA) Finance Manager (Insurance)

SUMMARY:
Our client, a dynamic and driven Insurance/Finance service provider seeks an Assistant Finance Manager (CA), East Rand

POSITION INFO:
Overall Responsibilities include:

• Financial management
• Assisting with the preparation of monthly and annual financial accounts
• Vat and tax returns
• Capital structure
• Audit engagement
• Internal controls
• Execution of business strategy
• Accounts Maintenance:
  • Assisting Head of Finance
  • capturing and reconciling of bank accounts and branch cash books via Pastel accounts system
  • Daily capturing of all supplier invoices
  • Capturing of creditor payments
  • Sending copy of invoices and statements
  • Monitoring of the accounts inbox and responding where appropriate and marking as dealt with
  • Preparing payment requisitions on a bi-weekly basis
  • VAT reconciliations
  • Reconciling debtors and creditors
  • Monthly management reporting to the executive team and assist the Head of Finance in preparation and feedback on variance analysis.

• Payroll Administration:
  • Monthly processing of payroll on Sage 300
  • Workman''s Compensation submissions
  • UIF submissions to Department of Labour
  • Processing payments on Pastel Partner and other payment partners
  • Processing and reconciling staff benefits
  • Comply with all statutory payroll processing regulations
  • Assist with any payroll related queries
  • Complete any additional ad-hoc payroll tasks, as and when required

• A Bachelor''s Degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related commercial field.
• Honours, Masters, CA, or CFA advantageous.
• A minimum of 1 years’ experience in the field of financial management.
• Experience on Sage 300 People, Pastel Partner and Sage Cloud advantageous.
• Experience using Microsoft 365.
• Insurance industry experience would be a plus
