Assistant Buyer - Epping Cape Town

National company is seeking to employ an experienced Assistant  Buyer to join their well-established team. The successful candidate will have more than 5 years experience in this role.

 

Daily Duties

• Manage the company’s sourcing capabilities while strategizing and negotiating with suppliers and vendors to acquire the most cost effective deals
• Reduce procurement expenses is essential and will be a prerequisite for employment.
• Request for quotations / sourcing.
• Capturing of purchase orders and ensuring payment is made to orders timeously.
• Full vendor data base design and management.
• Identifying, evaluating and management of current and potential suppliers to the company.
• Negotiation of price increases, contracts, terms, and conditions Monthly purchase order.
• Managing inventory and full implementation of inventory control processes and procedures
• Oversee stock movements.
• Ensuring ethical and best practice procurement systems are implemented and executed.
• Annual procurement budgets
• Negotiate pricing on the purchases and draft Contracts/or SLA’s. Ensure stock control is maintained.
• Managing all Purchasing processes.
• Ensure on-time delivery of components/parts from Suppliers colleagues and customers safe during this time.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12
• 5 – 10 Years’ experience
• Sage 300
• Import purchasing Skills
• Own Vehicle  
• Good communication skills
• Organisation skills
• Negotiations skills
