Job Position: Assistant Buyer – 3 month contract

Location: Port Elizabeth (Markman)
Salary: R6000 per month commensurate with experience and qualification
Qualifications / Requirements:
• Excellent communication skills and ability to cope well under pressure
Experience with:
• Submit purchase orders to vendors
• Tracking purchase orders
• Process goods received vouchers
• Follow up with suppliers for outstanding tax invoices
• Ensure products are purchased at the right time, to specification and at a good price
• Negotiate with vendors
• Research new suppliers and make recommendations to the Buyer
• Planning, monitoring and maintaining suitable inventory levels
• Forecasting purchasing trends
• Maintain filing system
• Compile reports
• Credit notes
