Assistant Accounting Manager or Accounting Manager required for established business in Somerset West.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities:

Full bookkeeping function to Trial Balance
The computation, invoicing and collection of fees pertaining to the division, as well as related administrative functions.
Mentoring of staff members within the division
Shared training responsibility of team members and managers within the division
Shared management of staffing issues within the division including:

Planning of staffing requirements
Responsibility for the recruitment, disciplinary processes, dismissal and interviewing of staff
Managing of remuneration levels and driving promotions
Managing of all corporate staff responsibilities toward SAIPA and related bodies
Dealing with all member body correspondence pertaining to staff in his/her division

Abiding by the Company’s Internal Quality controls
Keeping abreast of the latest developments within the industry
Full responsibility for all clients within the division. This includes full client liaison, service delivery and related responsibility
Full responsibility for the internal development of innovative services and solutions within the division
Working with the directors on the continuous improvement of client service delivery and professionalism within the organization

Requirements:

BCom or equivalent degree prescribed by SAIPA (Qualified SAIPA (or similar professional body) member in good standing
Own laptop with sufficient specs or will need to join company laptop scheme
Own transport
Ability to perform full bookkeeping function to Trial Balance (on various accounting platforms including Pastel, QuickBooks, Sage One, Xero)
Good understanding of VAT and PAYE principles.
Good understanding of Payroll administration
