Assistant Accountant - DBN - Contract

SUMMARY:
Ass. Accountant - 3 month contract

POSITION INFO:

3 month contract with a global firm

Matric Certificate

Degree in Accounting

At least 5 Years’ Experience in a relevant environment

Knowledge and experience with Budgeting and Forecasting processes – an advantage

Intercompanies:

• Invoicing of intercompany charges
• Receipting of intercompany charges
• Preparation of monthly journals
• Preparation of intercompany confirmations
• Confirm intercompany balances with affiliates within the required deadline

Reviewing of:

• Processing batches to ensure correct allocations and accuracy
• Creditor Reconciliations to ensure completeness and accuracy

Monthly tax submissions:

• Ensure that the VAT computation is accurately completed and payment made on time and in full
• Completion of the Tax committee questionnaire as required by Group Tax
• Payment of Provisional tax (when applicable)

Review of:

• Expense claim tracker

Preparation of:

• Standard monthly journals (provisions, monthly accruals)
• New standard operating procedures (SOP’s)
• General Ledger Reconciliations for all Intercompanies and any other adhoc recons.
• Assist in projects that need to be implemented
