SUMMARY:
A giant FMCG, also JSE listed which has been around for decades based in the North of Johannesburg is seeking a newly qualified CA(SA) position is an Assistant Accountant. Candidate must have sound knowledge of systems including advanced excel.
Purpose of this role: is to focus on ensuring the completeness and accuracy of the group consolidations of monthly, quarterly, and annual financials. Successful candidate will assist internal and external auditors with information requested and ensure consistent application of internal controls.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualifications & Experience:

Completed BCom Accounting
CA(SA)
2-3 years relevant accounting and administrative experience in FMCG/Retail environment
Strong communication skills
Business analytical skills
Strong finance financial background.

Skills:

Excel Advanced – Non negotiable
SAP, CaseWare and Oracle

Job description:

Serves as link between the source document and ledger accounts. Creation of ledger transaction for future analysis.
Budget report and year-end financial reports
Documentation that records information and payment of the related institutions
Financial statements according to international Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
Financial reports to management, debtors, the state and other regulatory institutions
Information that can be relied upon for making financial and administrative decisions
Spreadsheets that offer variety of statistical and business analysis tools for “what if “analysis
Provide the basis for allocating expenditure to various cost centres and general accounts-Reconciliation reports
