JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client a wine farm in Stellenbosch is looking to employ a Assistant Accountant.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years bookkeeping experience
  • Bookkeeping qualification / diploma (advantage)
  • Experience with accounting programs, Xero and VIP
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Responsibilities:

  • Check Purchase orders to creditors invoices
  • Processing of creditors
  • Creditor’s recons
  • Debtors’ recons
  • Petty Cash reconciliations and capturing
  • Bi-weekly Wages
  • Monthly journals
  • Processing of Bank transactions and reconciliations
  • Will report to the Senior Accountant
  • Assist with Audits
  • Ad-hoc tasks
