Assistant Accountant

SUMMARY:
Join an amazing brand in the FMCG industry as the Assistant Accountant. The ideal candidate is reliable and performs at high level. You are exceptional at what you do and operate as a specialist in many activities from reconciliations, payments, reporting, systems and managing month-end and year-end processes. The role will report to the Finance manager and the Accountant.

POSITION INFO:

The ideal candidate will produce timeous reporting on accounting and compliance functions

A high detailed level approach will be applied when processing accounts

Deliver on all reporting and capturing functions

Manage company payments with relevant mandates

Support the finance team with all systems related issues such as user needs, data processing and trouble shooting

Develop suitable operating procedures for company accounting functions

Skills & Experience:

Minimum 3 – 5 years background in the FMCG industry

Advanced Excel skills

SAGE x3 advanced level (Advantageous) or Advanced skills in similar system such as ERP

Accounts receivable management knowledge

Deadline driven environment requiring exceptional time management

Analytical and structured

Thorough knowledge of Accounting Principles and procedures

Qualification:

Diploma or Degree in Accounting
