SUMMARY:
A steel fabrication company based in Centurion is looking to hire an Accountant to assist the financial manager with day to day transactional duties and reconciliations. This candidate must have either dealt with German companies in doing imports and exports of purchase invoices or must be able to speak or understand German.

POSITION INFO:

Qualification

Relevent Accounting Diploma/Degree

Requirements

2-3 years working experience dealing with German companies
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and applying concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios to practical situations
Proficient in English/ Advantageous German
Must have knowledge of Accounting software, MS Office, ERP systems

Duties

Assisting financial manager with reporting. (Local & International)
Managing Financial Clerk
Processing financial journals within ERP system
Assist with Trial Balance and Reconciliations
Responsible to reconcile Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Processing of claims against suppliers
Ensure all purchases and sales are charged to the correct G/L Account and Cost Centre
Ensure all Purchase Invoices and Sales Invoices are processed correctly
Responsible for Petty Cash
Compiling Financial Statistics.Managing intercompany transactions
Handling of all Imports and Exports. Including processing purchase invoices and arranging payments via the Bank
Assist with Audits
Reconcile VAT & PAYE and submit monthly to SARS
Asist in attending to all SARS Queries
Reconcile accounts of foreign Creditors
Follow up on Debtors’ payments
Managing Declaration to Credit Guarantee
Issuing C1 certificates for all Automotive Customers
