Artisan - Fitter and Turner or Toolmaker

SUMMARY:
Our client in the manufacturing sector requires a temporary Qualified Fitter or Toolmaker.

POSITION INFO:

The ideal candidate should have:-
Job Qualification:

• Trade test qualification
• Matric/N4
• 5 years working experience in manufacturing or engineering department
• Strong Mechanical knowledge or Skills
• Valid driver’s License
• Own transport
• Computer literate

• Use and read all types of measuring equipment
• Fault Finding - Hydraulics/Pneumatics
• Interoperate technical drawings
• General Turning, milling, surface grinding and machining
• Perform machine settings and changes when requested
• Identify quality issues and report
• Complete all relevant documentation pertaining to Maintenance system (MP2, CIP and job requests)
• Participate with monthly stock take, rectification of variances and spare part control
• Manufacturing of spare parts and changes to parts
• Updating and control of Engineering drawings
• Assist with Tooling and new equipment try-outs
• Daily checking on crucial equipment like, transformers, DB’s, cooling towers, compressors and gas distribution circuits
• Housekeeping in Maintenance areas and where engineering work or repairs is carried out in the company.
• Must be prepared to work shifts and be on standby
