Applications Testing Manager

SUMMARY:
Ensure that testing activities are satisfactorily performed Proactively escalate unresolved issues

POSITION INFO:

Purpose                              

Responsible for the management of resources that estimate and carry out the development, testing, documentation and delivery of applications.  Ensures that programmes of applications development work are planned and monitored and that results are delivered to time, budget and quality targets and in accordance with appropriate standards.  May be responsible for the selection and planning of a programme of projects and related activities to achieve a set of business objectives                        

Formal Education                            

●             Degree in Engineering, Information Systems or Computer Science or  equivalent international certification/experience

Experience                        

●             5 years experience in a testing management/team lead role        

●             4 years application development experience      

●             Utilization of testing tools experience

Technical/Legal Certification                      

●             ISEB/ISTQB Advanced/Expert

●             Maintain acceptable billability ratio        

                Manage tools of trade   

●             Reduce operational expenses

Customer Perspective                  

                Requirements management and industry focus 

●             Identify, understand and document service requirements of clients in service management documents  

                Contract/agreement management          

●             Contribute to formal agreements on technical levels of service in service management documents, such as SLA''s, OLA''s, and UC''s   

●             Agree on and establish interfaces with other service management processes and functions          

●             Reach agreement on scope of application management function

●             Scan and audit environment to ensure conformance and capacitation of testing  function
