Apparel Design Manager

SUMMARY:

Our client, an esteemed fashion retail company based in Cape Town is searching for an experienced Apparel Design Manager to meet strategic objectives through effective leadership and through the effective management of a team, for optimising the Business Units profitability and sales targets in line with objectives.

POSITION INFO:

Responsibilities will include:

• Responsible for achieving all financial and operational targets
• Manage Raw Materials process, purchasing, utilisation and stock management
• Manage processes and workflow to ensure optimum efficiency from concept to delivery
• Communicate to retail regarding new opportunities and style on order
• Manage and influence all stakeholders via the workflow process from concept to delivery
• Manage Design and Product Development critical path, ensuring deadlines are met
• Responsible for managing the team and ensuring a good team dynamic is maintained
• Manage product flow through Supply Chain (critical path management), including workflow from concept to delivery
• Ensure team KPI''s and Scorecard targets are met
• Ensure a good Customer relationship is maintained
• Build strong and effective relationships with both internal and external Suppliers
• Responsible and accountable for meeting QR objectives
• Manage CMT capacity availability
• Ensure delivery dates are aligned with weekly targets
