Anti-Money Laundering Officer

SUMMARY:
A local Branch of an International Bank is looking for a Anti-Money Laundering Officer to join their fast growing team.

POSITION INFO:

Main duties: 

Assist the department with all relevant and necessary AML / CFT work, which includes but not limited to:

• Ensuring the Department conducts business in line with Risk Management and Compliance Programme (RMCP), Head Office  AML / CFT requirements and the departmental AML / CFT PPM
• AML monitoring from AMLMAS system (internal system)
• Training of business department on AML / CFT as well as other regulations as they become necessary
• AML projects as they become relevant etc.
• Drafting and updating of the AML / CFT departmental PPM
• Providing guidance to business regarding AML / CFT
• Assisting with lodging of suspicious transaction reporting, if required  
• On the FI portfolio: Assist CRM’s with on-boarding of new vostro accounts and RMA relationship establishment, which includes all document collection, AML / KYC due diligence, AML screening and Enhanced Due Diligence;
• On Corporate portfolio: Assist client relationship manager (CRM) in the annual client account review, ensuring all documents are checked and forward to transaction department
• Assist the CRM in the reviewing of client account opening 

Minimim Requirements: 

• Bachelor degree or equivalent for the relevant field, preferable a legal degree
• Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of risks having worked in an AML role / background would be preferable
• Knowledge of AML, FICA and other high risk legislations affecting the banking environment required
• Preferably has Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (“CAMS”) accreditation
• Report writing essential
• General compliance / risk experience in a compliance role with a  minimum of two years required
