SUMMARY:
Android Developer (Cape Town)

POSITION INFO:

Our mobile developers are responsible for building and maintaining mobile applications for most of our exciting projects. You will be required to work closely with the rest of the talented team to reach the companies and clients objectives by using your exceptional skills to craft beautiful code.

Experience, Skills and Knowledge:

v4 - 6 years coding experience in the following languages/technologies:

ØAndroid (Java/Kotlin).

ØReact Native knowledge would be an advantage.

ØFlutter knowledge would be an advantage.

vKnowledge of RESTful web services.

vKnowledge of Atlassian Suite (JIRA, BitBucket), Git, GitLab.

vBuilding automated deployment pipelines for Android deployments.

vExperience with third-party libraries and APIs.

vWorking knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies.

vCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

vKnowledge of Test automation tools like Selenium and Appium.

Key Performance Areas:

vWriting software in line with industry standards & design patterns:

vGuide and implement software and product design.

vProduce code in line with project requirements.

vImplement and maintain appropriate security standards.

vPerform and request code reviews.

vWrite and maintain unit and functional test.

vDebugging software for optimum functioning:

vReproducing and locating source of reported bugs and issues.

vFix bugs and issues.

vCommunicate errors and solutions to product owners /QA.

vMaintaining software & related repositories and databases:

vManage source code and versioning.

vManage branching and pull requests.

vManaging projects:

vProvide accurate estimates for new work and assessment for work complete.

vManage projects task in line with project workflow.

vIdentifying and suggesting functional improvements

vWork with product owners to plan and execute project sprints.

vKeeping current with the development environment:

vMaintain and improve skill set.

vIdentify developmental needs and motivate for additional training.
