Agriculture Logistics Assistant- Sea and road freight

Non-Negotiable

• Candidates must have recent/current experience working in the agriculture or FMCG sector within logistics
• Road and Sea freight transport of bulk agricultural products. So experience with vessels AND trucks is essential
• Matric plus certificate, diploma or degree preferable

Duties and responsibilities

• Liaising with customers regarding upliftment/delivery loads
• Updating position reports when a new sale is done
• Receiving W/B Tickets when customers load and updating position reports accordingly
• Invoicing customers for loads collected/delivered
• Chasing up for signed sales contracts
• Processing BTT (Bridge Terminal Transport) Invoices for payment, updating position reports accordingly
• Liaising with BTT regarding the heating of tanks
• Receiving transporter invoices, updating position reports and processing for payment
• Preparing releases for rice upliftment for our customers
• Liaising with customers requesting for payments to be made
• Liaising occasionally with transporters to co-ordinate loading for customers.
• Preparing month end stock reports and provisions
• Sending out weekly report for stock balances
