Aftermarket Serviceman X2: Kangra Colliery (Natal Area)

POSITION INFO:

The following vacancies exist: Aftermarket Serviceman X2: Kangra Colliery (Natal Area)                     

 

The positions will be based at Kangra Colliery, and the incumbents will report to the Services Manager

 

Job Specification (not totally inclusive)

• Maintenance / Repairs on JOY JNA 2 Continuous Miners, Shuttle cars as well as other JOY machinery
• Compile accurate and detailed maintenance, defect, inspection and investigation reports
• Customer support in terms of safety, breakdowns, coaching and to perform duties as per agreement between the customer and KMC
• Report writing on all relevant activities on technical / operational issues
• Drive productivity improvement and quality performance
• Comply to Customer Health and Safety policies and procedures
• Conduct frequent needs analysis within mine sections to identify gaps and opportunities for optimisation

 

Minimum Skills and experience required

• Qualified Millwright with N3 qualification
• Flameproof and Gas Testing certificates
• Driver’s license and own reliable transport
• Must be computer and database literate (MS Word, Ms Excel, MS Access, MS PowerPoint)
• Strong maintenance background with relevant Joy equipment knowledge

• At least 5-years’ experience on JOY JNA 2 Continuous Miners, Shuttle cars as well as other JOY underground equipment.

• Must be willing to work shifts
• Must be willing to work overtime
• Must be willing to re-locate to Piet Retief (Mkhondo)
