Signa Opportunity is recruiting unemployed youth for quality workplace experience through the Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative.

POSITION INFO:
About the role:
To provide comprehensive administrative and personal support to a registered counsellor in a private practice setting. This includes assisting with scheduling, communication, document
management, errands, and ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administrative & Clinical Support
• Manage the counsellor’s calendar, schedule client sessions, and send appointment reminders.
• Handle client communication professionally and confidentially via phone, email, and WhatsApp.
• Maintain basic records and assist with file organisation, printing, and scanning.
• Assist with organising workshops, talks, and psychoeducational material preparation.
• Errands & Personal Support
• Run errands such as collecting/purchasing supplies, shopping, or courier drop-offs.
• Support with setting up the counselling space, including refreshments and stationery.
• Handle occasional personal tasks that support the counsellor’s daily routine and well-being.
• `Practice Support & Client Care
• Welcome clients and maintain a calm and professional reception area.
• Monitor office supplies and assist with stock-taking and ordering.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional boundaries at all times.

• High level of discretion and respect for confidentiality
• Warm, professional communication style
• Good organisational and time-management skills
• Ability to multitask and follow instructions with minimal supervision
• Basic computer literacy (email, MS Office or Google Docs/Sheets)

• South African Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
• Must not have participated on the YES programme before.
• Matric
• Currently unemployed and not studying
• Available for a 12-month YES4Youth placement
• Resides near Fourways or can reliably commute
• Willing to work flexible hours, including Saturdays
• Interest in mental health and wellness is a bonus
