Managing and coordinating all postgraduate administrative matters; Advising the HOD and the Program

POSITION INFO:

CORE PURPOSE OF JOB

The purpose of this post is to assist the Head of Department, the staff and students in the administration activities. In addition, this post provides assistance and support to the department’s Postgraduate Coordinator to ensure effective management of postgraduate studies and research within the department.

 

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  • Managing and coordinating all postgraduate administrative matters;
  • Advising the HOD and the Programme leader on postgraduate matters;
  • Managing the academic life circle of postgraduate students from application, registration and conferment of qualification;
  • Applications and admissions;
  • Registration and general enquiries;
  • Examination and related matters;
  • Annually updating information from all stakeholders in the electronic yearbook;
  • Updating the postgraduate brochure and other web information;
  • Advising clients on regulations, procedures and policies of the University as well as the Faculty; and
  • Client consultations.

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • M+1 qualification in (e.g. secretarial/office management/Marketing/public relations & communication).
  • Two to three years requisite professional work experience in a university administrative/ academic setting
