POSITION INFO:

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Actuarial Sciences, Statistical Analysis, Mathematics or related field
• Knowledge on Actuarial modelling, Product pricing or Statistical analysis techniques
• Proficient in MS Office Packages (MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Powerpoint, MS Excel)
• Experience in the following will be advantageous:
• Life Insurance product development;
• SQL;
• VBA

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND WORK OUTPUTS

• Investigating and contributing to proposed product range changes using technical product and legislative knowledge;
• Contributing to successful implementation of product suite initiatives by:
• Co-creating product solutions to meet the Client Value Propositions of the various segments;
• Doing research and analysing data in order to provide useful product and market insights;
• Completing investigations to support basis setting and pricing;
• Close liaison and input into IT, reinsurance, underwriting, enrolment, servicing and claims departments;
• Testing all administration, systems, legal and other required processes to deliver the product to market;
• Ongoing monitoring and maintenance on each of the products in the range including:
• Monitoring sales volumes and mix, as well as collection experience in order to propose corrective actions and identify opportunities;
• Special quotes and queries;
• Building relationships and interacting with other disciplines in the organisation to ensure proactive management actions are taken;
