SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced Actuator Technician to carry out the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and fault-finding of electric valve actuators and associated control systems within industrial and petrochemical environments.
The role requires a hands-on technician who can work independently on site and liaise with clients during commissioning, shutdowns, and maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities
- Installation, configuration, and commissioning of electric and pneumatic valve actuators
- Troubleshooting and repair of actuator electrical, mechanical, and control systems
- Setting actuator travel limits, torque settings, and feedback signals
- Conducting functional testing and loop checks
- Interpreting wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, P&IDs, and technical manuals
- Liaising with site personnel during commissioning and handover
- Compiling commissioning, service, and fault-finding reports
- Ensuring compliance with site safety requirements, permits, and procedures
Minimum Requirements
- Trade Tested Electrician, Instrument Technician, or Millwright
- Recognised technical qualification or apprenticeship
- Valid driver’s licence
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in an industrial electrical, instrumentation, or mechanical environment
- Proven experience in:
- Installation and commissioning of mechanical and electrical/instrumentation equipment
- Electrical and control fault-finding
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Advantageous Experience
- OEM actuator experience (e.g. AUMA, Rotork, or similar)
- Experience working on industrial, petrochemical, refinery, or heavy industrial sites
- Hazardous area (Ex) exposure
- DCS / PLC interface experience
- Willingness to travel and work shutdowns or extended hours when required
